Congratulations Gambrells and Wilsons!

Two sets of our closest friends had a baby girl in the past couple of days. If you don't know these people personally, I am sure you have either met them at our wedding or, at least, heard me refer to them.

Congratulations to Scott and Raven Gambrell...Sarah Fischer "Sally" Gambrell was born last Friday (August 22nd) in Columbia, SC. I can't wait to see her!!

Also, congratulations to Reed and Shannon Wilson....Eva Reed Wilson was born yesterday (Aug. 25th) in Greenville, SC. I met Eva today...she is beautiful!

It is hard to beleive how fast my kids have grown...it seems like only yesterday they were the size of Sally and Eva. I looked at Eliza in the crib tonight after she fell asleep and she looks huge compared to a newborn....I realized today I don't have a baby anymore. I officially have a toddler! Time for another one....JUST KIDDING! (I think I have my plate as it is!)

Carter's Adventurous Side

Carter did something out of the "norm" for his personality this past weekend....he "tubed" with his friend, Will, and by himself! He absolutely LOVED it! For those of you who haven't been around Carter too much, he is typically the one who is timid about starting anything new. However, he proved us wrong at the lake. We went to Lake Hartwell all weekend with our friends Greg and Stephanie James (and their three boys Gibson, Warner and Will). The water level is definitely low right now but that didn't stop us!

Carter and Will before the boat took off...

Carter, Will and Greg as we started off. (We were going slow, I promise!)

Carter and Walden....Carter got very comfortable showing he could do it with "no hands".

Showing off again...trying to stand up!

Great day...at the Lake!

We had a great day at the lake yesterday (Saturday). We met up with The McMakins and was able to visit the James' lakehouse. We had a great time! Weather was beautiful and spending time together was great! Carter loved the boat rides! Walden skiied and I tubed....I think today we both can tell that it is "hell getting old". The biggest progress of the day was Carter will now swim by himself in the water (with a life jacket on). All summer he has been getting in the pool hanging onto someone or something. But he finally got up enough confidence!!

A new addition to the family!

And no...we are not having baby #3! I thought the title might get your attention :). After a lot of searching and wishing for seven years, we finally got a boat! Nothing fancy...it is actually an older boat but new to us! We are so excited. We went out on it Friday afternoon and the kids had a ball! We already call Eliza "Queen of the Lake" because she sits in it like she has done this for years. Carter is known as the "Mayor of the Lake" because he acts like he owns the lake! I can already tell that we will have a lot of good family memories made with this boat. It is so nice for us to have something else we can do as a family... We have a smaller lake about 30 minutes from our house which is so nice to take the kids to...it is not crowded, the water is up and it takes no time to get there and in the water! I was so excited about going to the lake, I forgot to take the camera so I will post some when we go again.
