This past weekend we had a great time visiting Walden's side of the family in Florence. We went down on Saturday to spend the day with his grandparents, parents, sister (and her family), aunts/uncles and cousins. We have figured up that for the past five years we have added at least one new baby to the mix (sometimes two) every year. It is amazing to see how we multiply!
Carter had an absolute ball with his cousins, Stewart and Charlotte Beth. Every time I turned around he was either tackling Stewart or playing "daddy" with Charlotte Beth and her baby doll, Lily. Eliza entertained all of the older people in the assisted living facility.
We drove back Saturday afternoon and spent the night at Walden's parents house and came home on Sunday. We did leave Carter in Columbia to stay at Pop Pop and Nana's house. I could tell he was all excited because when we left...he barely even stopped what he was playing to tell us "bye". They had a full agenda ahead for the next two days. Stewart spent the night last night (Sunday night) as well. The plans were for them to sleep in the tent in the living room. From what Nana said...that didn't last too long once the lights were cut off and all they had was the nightlight. Needless to say, with two cousins very excited about spending some time together, they had to be split up to go to sleep. Today they met up with Aunt MeMe and Charlotte Beth at a water park. Carter told us it was "so cool". Tomorrow they are going to the library to see a play. I will met them in Clinton to pick him up. I am ready for him to be home...just not the same without him :).
We left our camera at home over the weekend but I hope to get some pictures from my Aunt MeMe to post.
